Can rabbits be left alone for 8 hours?

Shortly, I have a meeting outside the city that might take all day. What if I leave my rabbit at home for 8 hours or more?

Never leave your pet rabbit alone at home for more than 12 hours. This is because rabbits are social animals that crave interaction. So, if you stay for more than 8 to 12 hours, it can cause anxiety, boredom, and stress to the rabbit.
